caramelzappa answered your question: Obamacare’s been upheld…

Is helping people not die really the most terrible thing that could happen to our country?

emphatically, yes

Obamacare's been upheld...

hookedonsemiotics:

whoisjohngalt25:

And I’m actually not that upset about it. I mean, I hate the idea of it and that it was ever created, but I feel like it’s a big step in ruining our country and tearing it down. Of course I seem like a terrible person for saying this but I can’t help but draw parallels to Atlas Shrugged, as I have been since I first read the book about a year ago.

See, I see Obamacare almost like I see Ellis Wyatt’s oil fields. If Ellis were actually allowed to succeed using The John Galt Line then it would’ve just taken longer for the world to collapse and John Galt to give his speech. And now that Obamacare has been upheld it feels to me like we’re on the fast track to destruction and only then can we start over.

What I’d like to see is not Obamacare repealed but instead kept in place. Then doctors and surgeons would start quitting or moving to different places, like Doctor Thomas Hendricks, and more and more people would leave or maybe disappear.

And then maybe I’d get my secret, selfish wish of watching this country disintegrate and hearing John’s speech, of seeing all the great people in this country vanish, of reading about a real-life Ragnar or Francisco or Hank or Dagny or Hugh Akston.

Am I the only one out there who wants to see this happen?

Exhibit A

as an accelerationist i want all this to happen as a step on the inevitable path to communism

“ABSTRACT: We here report the first case of postmortem injury caused by a centipede. An old man was found dead in his bedroom. The death was estimated to be due to intracranial hemorrhage and to have occurred two days before the police inspection. A centipede about 12 cm long emerged from a subcutaneous cavity on the victim’s forearm. Obviously, the centipede had dug the cavity on the intact skin. A police inspector was bitten by the centipede, so he stepped on the centipede on the floor. The exudate from the insect was identified to be derived from the victim’s blood.” —metal
